Alessia Cara
The singer released her debut single, Here, in 2015 at the age of 19 years old. It became a huge hit immediately that both critics and admirers praised the song. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone listed the song as one of top Songs of 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks which reached the top of the charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. This track was special since, in light of her Rap-Up interview she conducted, many of people who listened to her music could relate to her experience in learning to love themselves as well as doubting herself. Cara includes messages of kindness and loving yourself into her music. The music of Cara is directly from her struggle with mental illness, insomnia as well as other problems. According to an Reuters interview, her album was described as halfway tumultuous, half perfected. The singer says that she experienced growth through therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her parents gave her an instrument when she was 10, and it brought her to music. She started covering her favourite songs at age thirteen to show everyone that she was a talented musician and the courage necessary to be a singer. Sweater Weather became her most famous song. An album label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and let her compose songs.
